The Story of the Lucky Cat


The Japanese love campanion animals especially cats. It has a feline population of 8 million! Such cats are lucky, their masters pamper them with water beds and jewelry. Some hotels have sleeping facilities and special menus for these fluffy creatures. To the Japanese, like in other cultures, cats are more than pets. One cat brings luck too, that is the Maneki Neko or Beckoning Cat. They are all around the shops in Japan, calling the customers to enter. It is a popular suvenier so grab one or two before your departure for good fortune. Is that cat beckoning you to discover Japan?
